Unscientific Operation: Method Die Casting Cutting Leather

This video demonstrates numerous inefficiencies.

First and foremost, it should be noted that there are numerous steel plated die cast cuts and molds. The machine that is being utilized is a press machine that will apply pressure and cut the die cast will cut through fabric, and in this specific case, leather. All of the blue molds are in specific sizes that will cut out pieces of leather to be used in the creation of high fashion leather boots and similar shoes inside this factory.

When these sharp steel molds are placed one on top of another, this can only serve to dull the sharp edges of each piece. Furthermore, it can be noted that if these blue casts were organized better, none of the extra actions such as stacking or using scissors would be needed, and therefore save time.

Finally, it should be noted that these blue casts can be re-organized and re-designed so that more leather can be utilized, as much extra leather hide is seen wasted in this video.
